Comedian Frank Caliendo coming to Sangamon Auditorium

Comedian Frank Caliendo will bring his national tour to Sangamon Auditorium at the University of Illinois at Springfield, Saturday, August 23, at 8:30 p.m.

Known for "dead on" impressions of iconic figures such as Al Pacino, Robin Williams, Robert DeNiro, George W. Bush, and John Madden – Frank Caliendo, a seven-year veteran of television sketch comedy (MadTV, Hype), began his own show - Frank TV - last fall on the TBS network. Frank describes the show as The Muppets meets SCTV, meets Saturday Night Live, meets the Simpsons.

On stage, Frank's high-energy act is a blend of observations, impressions, characters, and anecdotal stories that build to a frenetic pace. Once described by the Hollywood Reporter as "a combination of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey," Frank is one comedian that should not be missed.

Other places you might have seen Frank: The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan O'Brien, The View, Last Call with Carson Daly, Superbowl XXXIX, Comedy Central Presents Frank Caliendo, The Best Damn Sports Show Period, and Mike and Mike on ESPN 2.

Frank TV - Tuesday Night 11pmEST/10pmCST on TBS (New episodes this fall!)
